Let's create future research themes for everyone 2050年、世界はどのように変わっているでしょうか？ 分子はとても小さく普段感じることはありませんが、ペニシリン（抗生物質）、緑色蛍光タンパク質（GFP）のように、研究だけでなく私たちの生活や文化に大きな影響を与えてきました。ITbMでは、人々の生活や文化を劇的に変える“トランスフォーマティブ分子”を生み出すべく研究を進めています。 本企画では、来場者とITbMの研究者が関心のある課題をまぜ、垣根をこえて議論することで、気候変動・エネルギー・食糧・健康の問題などを解決する未来の研究テーマを創出します。30年後の暮らしを思い描きながら、未来を変える分子について一緒に考えてみませんか。 How will the world change in 2050? Molecules are so small that we can’t usually perceive them, but they, such as penicillin (one of the representative antibiotics) and green fluorescent protein (GFP), have had a profound impact on not only scientific research but also our lives and culture. In ITbM, we have been working to elucidate their various properties to create “Transformative Bio-Molecules” that can change our daily lives and culture. In this event, participants and researchers working in ITbM will mix topics of interest and discuss freely beyond boundaries. Then, we will collaboratively create future research themes to solve problems involving climate change, energy, food, and health. Let’s imagine the molecules that will change the 30 years future.
